In the article of Berkshire spree targets industrial groups from Financial Times on November 7, 2011, it said
Berkshire Hathaway, the conglomerate run by Warren Buffett, went on an aggressive buying spree of stocks in the last quarter and shifted its portfolio’s focus from banks and consumer product companies to industrial businesses.
As markets whipsawed on volatile economic data, the US debt ceiling debate and the eurozone sovereign debt crisis, Mr Buffett and his team was unusually active in buying stocks.
I'm glad that I too bought a lot (close to 50% of the total portfolio) from Aug 8 to Oct 4 including 3M, BRK, ..... Yes. They are industrial. Can I be counted as a virtual team member of Berkshire Hathway?
During this period, I truly experienced what does it mean of " Be greedy when every one else is fearful". I recall that during the first two big dips in early August and early September, I was very happy with joyful and hopeful mood to buy quite a bunch. Towards the end of September, I bought more shares with courage that I need to summon up with good inner strength.
More to share in the near future.
